[ARCHIVED] Property Tax Rate set for 2022

The 2022 property tax rate was set on Friday, December 17th at $14.58 per thousand, down from $16.08 per thousand in 2021.  With property values increasing, the corresponding rate decreased.  The average single family home valuation in 2021 was $437,613.  In 2022, the average value of an average single family home property increased to $487,205.  If your property was of average value in 2021 and 2022, your annual property tax bill increased from $7,037 to $7,103, or $66.  Property tax bills will be mailed by December 31st.  The property tax cards that can be viewed online will be updated and available with the new values by February 1st.
