Join us for the new and exciting exhibit, A History of Women in Kingston, held at the Adams Center. Stop by to view the exhibit, learn more about the Local History Collection, and meet the Library's new Archivist Librarian. The exhibit will be up and viewable Wednesday, March 15th through Friday, March 30th.
This new exhibit features historic, archival materials on the many important Kingston women throughout the town's history, such as Helen Foster, Emily Drew, Helen Holmes, Jennie McLaughlen, Martha Sever, Ruth Chandler Forbes, Catherine Drew Russell, and the more recent Doris M. Johnson. In addition to highlighting notable historic Kingston women, the exhibit will also include materials on display and information on the general history of women in Kingston and their various efforts, accomplishments, and overall role in the community.
Exhibit viewing hours will be on Mondays from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2 PM to 4 PM, Wednesdays from 6 PM to 8 PM, and Friday and Saturday by Appointment.
