The Kingston Council on Aging has received a number of phone calls from seniors who have tested positive for COVID-19. After consulting with the Town Administrator and the Town Nurse, it has been recommended that as a precautionary measure the Senior Center building immediately close for the remainder of the week to disinfect the interior of the facility.
Wednesday, May 18, Thursday, May 19, and Friday, May 20 there will be no on-site programs, groups or meals, and the building will be closed to the public. GATRA vans will remain operational for rides to off-site appointments, and COA staff will be on hand to answer phone calls. The building will re-open on Monday, May 23.
